Phoenix Metal Pipe Assessment
|
| |
The City of Phoenix has significant quantities of metal pipe storm drain facilities consisting of various sizes and shapes as a part of its storm drain collection system to collect and convey storm water runoff. There are approximately 21 known locations throughout the CITY that this type of pipe is in use. PEC conducted an assessment program that identifed immediate and potential problems within the metal pipe storm drain system. Identification and repair of sub-standard pipe assures that this public asset is operated and maintained in a manner consistent with federal, state, and city guidelines. PEC engineers and technicians evaluated the metal pipe storm drain though videos of the inside of the storm drain and the integrity of the entire pipe as much as possible. The storm drain condition assessment: included the inspection, evaluation, prioritization, and recommendations for rehabilitation of approximately 8.5 of the 30 miles of CMP type facilities maintained by the City of Phoenix.
