Agua Fria Freeway (S.R. 101) - Arizona Department of Transportation/Parsons Brinckerhoff Construction Services

Project entailed 2¼ miles of new freeway from Camelback Road to ¼ mile north of Glendale Avenue. PEC established horizontal and vertical control points for this project prior to the construction for use by the contractor's surveyors. Horizontal and vertical control was tied to adjacent projects to assure alignment between projects. PEC provided inspection and random checks of the construction contractor's staking during construction, and compiled documentation and reports of inspections and checks, on an on-call basis. PEC also performed requested field measurements and performed quantity calculations to assist in determining monthly and final contractor payment quantities, as well as obtaining as-built measurements and recording the information on a full size set of plans at the construction field office for the development of final record drawings.
