Bell Road T.I., Arizona Department of Transportation/HDR Engineering

Design of two detention basins (60-acre feet total) and tunnel at I-17 and Bell Road. The project included inlet and outlet structures, catch basins, spillways, box culverts; concrete lined channel, and a 60-inch storm drain tunnel. The work element included preparation of construction plans, specifications, estimates, details and culvert sizing. A unique feature of the project was to prepare the structural design and plans for a 100-foot-long reinforced concrete transverse inlet across Bell Road.
