Price Freeway Water Line, City of Chandler/HDR Engineering

Two miles of 12-inch water main design to replace an existing 16-inch water main and 1,300 feet of 36-inch steel cylinder water main encased in a 54-inch steel sleeve under the freeway. Major work element included field surveys, engineering design, preparation of construction plans, special provisions, cost estimates, calculations for restrained joints, large butterfly valves were installed with manhole vaults, air/vacuum relief valves and special details. The project required close coordination with ADOT and numerous utility companies.
