Pima Freeway Section 9A / HDR Engineering

PEC prepared design plans for the relocation of 1.5 miles of a City of Scottsdale 16-inch water line. The City of Scottsdale was experiencing rapid growth north of the Pima Freeway. Our project manager recognized a need for future expansion of the City's water and sewer facilities and proposed installation of steel sleeves under the freeway to accommodate future demand. PEC worked with the City's staff, identified nine locations for future water and sewer crossings, and prepared construction plans for the sleeves. Work on the project included estimates, special provisions, field surveys, special details and coordination with the local power, telephone, cable companies, Southwest Gas and El Paso Natural Gas Companies.
