SR 202L Santan Freeway Traffic Interchange, ADOT/Parsons Brinckerfhoff

PEC performed the utility conflict studies and provided the design and survey of the City of Phoenix and City of Chandler utility relocations for this $80 million traffic interchange construction project. The design of the utility relocations included 1,100 feet of 8-inch and 1,800 feet of 12-inch water lines, 1,800 feet of 15-inch and 700 feet of 24-inch gravity sewers and 17,300 feet of twin 24-inch force mains. The force main relocation included PEC's design of reprogramming the lift station operating system for increased pump station capacity, the addition of new valve and scrubber vaults and the design of a new surge protection system for the pump station.
